NSMS Activities and Celebrations

Red Ribbon Week

Oct. 24-28
The NSMS ESTEEM TEAM designed scheduled events for students to promote healthy lifestyles. On Monday students wore red and signed pledge cards to be drug free. Tuesday was fashion disaster day. Wednesday students impersonated people they admired. On Thursday an Annual Falcons Flight was held where students participated after school in running/jogging/walking for health, friendship, and school spirit. And Friday was mix it up day. During the week students also entered a Poster/Art/Creative Writing contest. The winners are pictured below.

 

Choir Performances

The middle school choir directed by Cindy Johansen has performed several times throughout December. The students performed in the Winter Concert December 13, and have traveled and shared their talents with the elementary schools throughout the district.

 

Career Fair

This year many community members visited with our 7th graders and shared their careers. Students gained knowledge on different careers that are available in the community. They learned aobut skills, schooling, job tasks, etc... needed for the careers.
