The School Community Council is an elected group of parents and teachers who work with the school principal in strengthening our school and providing more learning opportunities for our students. They determine how the Trust Lands money will be used. They help to build the School Improvement Plan. It is an important position and we need enthusiastic and positive parents to strengthen this Council.

All parents at Fairview Elementary School are invited and encouraged to attend and participate in School Community Council meetings. At the beginning of each school year we hold elections for School Community Council. If you are interested in running for a vacant position, please let the principal know.

2016-2017 Members:

  Among their many jobs, they determine how to best use the Utah State TrustLands money to support our school improvement efforts. We are projected to have $29,373 for next school year and this Council will determine how to best use this money to make a great school even greater. We will be meeting six times during the school year and the public is always invited to attend these meetings. A schedule of meetings is listed below:

 Elections for new parent representatives are held at the beginning of each school year and we encourage parents to talk with the principal if they are interested in running. An agenda, including the date, time and place of the meeting is posted on the school webiste with draft minutes of the prior meeting at least one week in advance of each meeting.
