Happy Holidays!

It feels like a holiday with a dusting of snow on the ground and the cold weather that has settled in.  It looks like we are expecting more snow and cold weather this coming week. Please see that you children are dressed appropriately and caution them to take extra care as they possibly play outside and make their way around our schools.  The sidewalks and parking lots may be slick.

The winter break begins for students on December 21st.  This is a short day, so expect your children to arrive at home early on this day. Please communicate with your teacher or principals if you need to connect with the foodbank or you need connections to resources to provide winter clothing for your student. There are options to help. Also, if you know of someone that is in need, we would like to know so we can connect them with proper resources.

Darin Johansen, our Business Administrator for the past 33+ years, is retiring. We have scheduled an open house to honor his work this Tuesday, December 14th from 3 to 6 p.m.  This event will be held at the district office.  We owe Darin so much for his work in our district. Feel free to join us!

December is a busy month with events, programs, academic deadlines, and athletic competitions. I know how exhausting this can be for families. I need to thank you for your support in keeping your children focused and continuing to encourage them to work through those moments of exhaustion. I also need to thank our administrators, teachers, and all staff for the consistent work to provide our students the care they deserve. I want to express my thanks to you and all those individuals that work in our district.

Take care and be safe.  I hope to see all of you in January.

Nan
