North Sanpete Middle School

TSSA Budget Plan

Goals:

  1. Academic Interventions – Some students require additional time and targeted instruction to meet grade-level standards. TSSA funds will be used to provide after-school academic interventions led by certified teachers across all content areas.
  2. Equitable Access to Instruction – Transportation and supervision will be provided to ensure students can safely participate in after-school intervention opportunities.

Process for Achieving These Goals:

  1. Certified teachers will provide after-school academic interventions two days per week, Tuesday and Thursday, from 2:30–3:30 p.m. Instruction will be differentiated and focused on reteaching essential skills, remediation, and targeted academic support.
  2. TSSA funds will support teacher stipends, supervision, and required bus duty. A late bus will be provided to allow students access to the program regardless of transportation limitations.
  3. Participation is voluntary, but students are strongly encouraged to attend based on academic need. Many students consistently take advantage of this support.

Measurement of Progress:

Academic improvement will be monitored through classroom formative assessments, course performance data, and benchmark assessments aligned with core subject standards. Teachers will use student progress data to adjust interventions and instructional focus.
