Preschool Registration

Immunization Requirements Early Childhood Programs Requerimientos de Inmunización Para Programas de la Infancia 2026-2027 Preschool application-New students only

Do not complete this application if your child is currently enrolled in the North Sanpete District  Preschool. It is intended only for families who are NEW to our 3-year-old or 4-year-old program.

  • Enrollment Requirements

To attend preschool next year, children must:

    • Be 3 or 4 years old on or before September 1, 2026
    • Be potty trained (unless they qualify through an IEP)
    • Children who turn 3 after September 1 must have an active IEP to attend.

  • Currently Enrolled 3-Year-Old Students (Returning Students)

If your child is currently enrolled in our 3-year-old preschool class — even if they have since turned 4 — they are guaranteed a preschool spot for next year.

    What you need to know:

    • Your child will automatically roll over in PowerSchool for the 2026–2027 school year.
    • No new preschool application is required.
    • If you do not plan for your child to attend next year, please email our preschool secretary at Lmurphy@nsanpete.org to remove your child from the rollover list.

Families will receive an email during the summer, with instructions and timelines for completing required updates, which will include:

    • PowerSchool registration updates
    • Risk Factor Assessment
    • Pyramid Model Consent Form

If applying for a fee waiver, updated documentation will also be required, including the Free/Reduced Lunch Application (available this summer).

  • NEW Preschool Students Enrolling for 2026–2027

If your child will be new to our preschool program next school year, you must complete the preschool application through PowerSchool. A link to the new student application is included at the end of this email.

The PowerSchool pre-registration form serves as the official preschool application, and all new families must complete it. Please note that submitting the application does not guarantee placement. Applications are used to determine eligibility and priority seating.

    Priority Seating

Seats are awarded based on risk factor scores (highest need first).

If space remains after priority placement, tuition spots will be offered. If enrollment exceeds the number of seats available, a lottery will be held on May 18th. Families will be notified after the lottery whether their child has been awarded a spot or placed on the waitlist.

  • Preschool Retention & Kindergarten Enrollment

If your child is 5 years old on or before September 1, 2026, they should enroll in kindergarten for the 2026–2027 school year.

Preschool is intended to serve children who are age 3 or 4. Families may not plan for their child to repeat the 4-year-old preschool class, and we are not able to hold preschool spots for students who are age-eligible for kindergarten. Families should also not opt out of the 3-year-old year with the intention of completing the 4-year-old class twice.

In very limited situations, an additional year of preschool may be considered based on individual student needs and school team review.

If your child will be entering kindergarten next year, your child’s elementary school will contact you directly with enrollment information and next steps.

Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions. We look forward to another wonderful preschool year!
